win for the professionals against duo. Great team spirit.
|

|
Parnell Yellow Ferns
|
The Yr 8 Yellow Ferns had an
awesome win this week against St Thomas, 24-7.
|
Congratulations to our players of
the day - Sasha Rehm and Angie Madden.
|
Parnell Panthers
|
Thanks for Ian Billcliff and Nicky
for stepping in coordinating our team
Well done Izzy who was very brave
to play on for three quarters with an injured finger and sore back !
The wind and rain made it hard to
score goals
We lost to Royal Oak 13 to 7
Wwelcome Solenn our new team member.
|
Player of the day was given to
Lauren for her great defence as goal keep !
|
Parnell Sportilicious
|
Sportalicious has had a bit of bad luck with Mia Rose
being off with a broken toe and another couple of players not being able to
play so we had a bit of a new mix of players for this game. Our team
played well but lost by quite a few goals against Maungawhau. but we
fought til the end and never gave up!
|
Zoe for excellent defence
|
Parnell Pineapples
|
The Pinapples played St Michael’s
Primary School. Even they they lost 11:1 the highlight of the game was seeing
their improvement in defense . The team remained positive despite the score
and enjoyed playing together and could see the areas that they need to work
on.
|
Santiago won player of the day for making a large number of intercepts
and for passing these quickly on to his teammates.
|
Parnell Poppies
|
It was a full game for all of the Poppie’s 5 players
as they were running with no subs. Ultimately St Mary’s proved too strong
with a couple of taller players and fresh legs of the bench. Poppies mixed it
up with some great interceptions, team communication and a never say die
attitude until the final whistle. The final score was
St Mary’s – 14
Parnell Poppies – 12
|
Player of the day – Hannah Billcliffe top scoring with
8 points
|
Parnell Gold
|
Parnell Gold shot 14 goals and won against Ellerslie
Primary
Coach Nicole has taught the team
some ball skills which the girls practise during the game ! Our team are
strong in team spirit and are good in picking up tips from Nicole in the
morning practices!
|
Player of the day was Michelle, for
not giving up and displaying her sportsmanship on the court.

Thank you to Lisa Beuvink, Natalie Stephan and Nick Savill and all the parent drivers for their efforts last Thursday 29th June.
The team has been training with their coach Andrea Kenwright and their efforts have paid off as the gymnasts were able to complete their routines and they all looked fantastic in their school leotards.
Next competition is Term 3, Week 3 on Thursday 10th August at TriStar. The gymnasts will perform the same routines so they will get another chance to shine.
Newsletters of permission and participation will need to be collected from Room 27 by Wednesday 5th July and returned to school by Friday 7th July.
