PDS Sports Uniform

A reminder to wear your sports uniform- blue shorts and PDS sports top and sports shoes on your CRT PE days

Intermediate- Tuesday

Year 1 - Thursday

Year 2-6 – Friday

Ripper Rugby mini tournament- Thursday 31^st March- 3:15-4:15pm

Ripper Rugby is  8-aside non contact game to teach the skills required pre- rugby in Year 4.

Jono Hickey and I will run a Ripper Rugby mini tournament for the Year 1-3 students from 3:15-4:15pm.  This will give parents/caregivers and opportunity to see the game in action. Meet us by the flag pole and we will organise the teams and play 20 minute games.

Grammar Tech and Grammar Juniors Rugby Registrations this Friday 1^st April at PDS School

Jono Hickey will be recruiting Year 1-6 students for the upcoming rugby season.  You will need to supply a photocopy of your Birth Certificate or Passport for identification and your parent/caregiver will need to complete a Registration Form.  Jono will then take rugby skills on the school field from 3:30-4:00pm.

Year 1-3 play Ripper Rugby- non contact game

Year 4-6 play Modified Rugby

PDS will participate at the Barbarians Funday , Sunday the 19^th of June

Finally we have secured an entry into this great day of rugby. The day is about hundreds of primary school rugby players from across the wider Auckland region meeting for mini-games, and having fun with skills and drills.  If you are a Year 5/6 student and would like to participate in this day please email valeriem@parnell.school.nz to register.

Parnell Cricket Club

Thank you to Simon Herbst and his team of coaches from Parnell Cricket Club for developing the skills of the Year 2-3 students.  Simon will be back in Term 4 to continue the programme and register players for the upcoming season.

Eastern Zones Orienteering 14^th April

Intermediate Dept are week 2 of their Orienteering with maps, controls and symbols. All students are welcome to register for this event by the end of Week 8.

Eastern Zones and Bay Suburbs Swimming meet this week

Good luck to the students attending the swimming comps this week at Sacred Heart, swim well and enjoy the challenge.

After school netball entries and registrations still OPEN

If your child is keen to play after school netball please email  valeriem@parnell.school.nz with your child’s name, year level and venue preference.

PDS Skiing season 2016

If you have a child/children in Years 3-8 who are competent skiers and you would like to trial for the PDS Ski team please attend the meeting on Monday 4^th April at 3:10pm in Room 26.
