Our
HOOPTUTOR league is a great way to improve your basketball skills and
knowledge. Since its inception this HOOPTUTOR League will be in demand and very
popular with boys and girls of all abilities leading to many entries in local
leagues.
Run by
experienced, dedicated and passionate coaches from BOYD Basketball Academy and
Held at King's School in Remuera. The league games and trainings will give your
child the opportunity to improve their fundamental skills including passing,
shooting, ball-handling and foot-work. Players will then apply these skills
into a “FUN” / competitive game situation for the last 30 minutes of the
session. A key component of the programme is to develop our young basketballers
to the point where they will enter and compete in local leagues and future in
basketball.
All games
will be played at King's School located at 258 Remuera Road, Remuera. All
training sessions will run for one hour with the final 30 minutes for game
play.
The
programme kicks of First week Term 3 Weds the 27th of July. First
week is purely a training session. Everyone will be taught the basic skills of
basketball. (Dribbling..passing..shooting)
After the
first two weeks we do a proper assessment of the students skill level and break
them off into teams.
Each team will
consist of a mixture from other schools to make sure we divide the talent
equally.
All players
will receive 7 games and 9 practice sessions.
When
enrolling please be very clear whether you wish your son/ daughter to be
enrolled for coaching one on one (Beginners) or for coaching and league comp
(for more able players).
Our
HOOPTUTOR League will fill fast and will need to be capped so please
book asap. Only first 35 kids will be able to join in term three.

Extra one
on one training times needs to be booked in advance thru BOYD Basketball
Academy.
COSTING
$100 per term per child.
All players will
recieve 7 games and 9 practice sessions. Plus a Reversible
Singlet to keep.
**Which breaks down to
$45 for singlet and $55 for coaching and games.
